Naval Weapons Support Facility
Seal Beach is the home of Leisure World, a gated senior citizen community of approximately 7-10,000 persons. The Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station comprises 2/3 of the land within the City. Website
Seal Beach Leisure World
A private, guarded community nearly one mile square with almost 9000 residents. Compact one and two bedroom apartment, many overlooking luscious green belts or with golf course views. Modern condominium units also available. Leisure World covers 533 acres, or roughly 1 square mile. Website

Ran by the Seal Beach Historical and Cultural Society

"Main Street" Seal Beach
A shoppers paradise, made up of 49 uniquely wonderful gift shops, 6 art galleries, 4 antique stores and 24 dining establishments, all in just 3 short blocks.
Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge Area
1000 acres of preserved wildlife refuge are on the military base and can be accessed for tours for 4 or more visitors, with 48 hours notice by calling the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce at (562) 799-0179. Website
Beaches
Both Surfside and Sunset Beach are small communities located near Seal Beach and Huntington Beach. Surfside is a gated community with no businesses and little parking. It is between Seal Beach and Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach is on a mile or so of oceanfront between Surfside and Huntington Beach.
