Standing Committees

Meetings: Every 1st Thursday each month 12 pm at  the Seal Beach Chamber Office. The Ambassadors are the public face of the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce. They are fully committed to the furtherance of community-based businesses, through welcoming new members to the Chamber, participating in Ribbon Cuttings and milestone anniversaries, volunteers and assisting with Chamber events. The Seal Beach Chamber Ambassadors do not miss the opportunity to network with business, new people, new meeting and to connect to a potential clients of theirs.

Working alongside the Marketing Committee and Ambassadors, the Membership Committee is comprised of a group of committed members who support the Chamber’s efforts for the growth and development of membership. The committee has a structured and focused system of connecting with businesses in the Chamber’s service area, and, inviting them to learn more about the organization and its many benefits.  It engages members in networking events such as Let’s Do Lunch & Chamber mixers.

Meets: Every 1st Thursday of every monthat 11am the Seal Beach Chamber office. Faced with the challenge of promoting the Chamber and its events, this committee meets monthly to provide input and assist with marketing tasks. All marketing methods, both traditional and online media are addressed to further the mission of the Chamber, increase visibility of membership benefits, and host and promote all Chamber events

Meetings: Quarterly after the general breakfast meeting on the 2nd Thursday.   The Government Relations Committee has the role of business advocacy, as it applies to furthering business’s rights. The areas of greater focus for the GAC are: growth issues, economic development, and local business advocacy.

Special Events Committees

Meets prior to events generally in the Chamber office. See Event Page and/or Contact the Chair for more information on how you can be a part of these important local events and create visibility for you and your business in our community.

SEAL BEACH CLASSIC CAR SHOW

Occurs the last Saturday in April and is the largest coastal car show of its kind. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in this event from the planning, to the day of and volunteers are alwasys welcome!

HEALTH EXPO

Occurs once a year in May at the base of the Seal Beach Pier.  Health and wellness related exhibitors will showcase their products and services to thousands of potential customers

SEAL BEACH SUMMER CONCERTS 

Occurs every Wednesday from 6pm-8pm in the Summer for six weeks at the base of the Seal Beach Pier, beginning the last week in June.  This committee chooses the live bands and arranges the set and advertisement for the amazing community event that delights our community

Shop/Eat/Play Sidewalk Sale & Popups at the Pier

Sidewalk Sale occurs twice a year in February and September encouraging all members of the community to shop Main Street and support our local businesses! 

Popups at the Pier occur 4 times a year (December, February, September & June) and gives merchants without a brick and mortar a chance to be seen by setting up a booth at the base of the Seal Beach Pier.

Both of these events are meant to inspire everyone to shop local and shop Seal Beach!!

INSTALLATION AWARDS & CHAMBER CHIRSTMAS PARTY

Installation occurs once a year on the second Thursday in September to celebrate the accomplishment of Seal Beach Chamber members.  Seal Beach Christmas Party occurs once a year in the second week of December as a thank you to all members and the efforts put forward throughout the year to make our community thrive. These events are planned by the Chamber Presidents and carried out by the Office staff.

TRICK OR TREAT ON MAIN

Occurs every Halloween on Main Street. Merchants hand out candy to children in costume.  If a Main Street business has balloons on their door, they are handing out candy!

THANKSGIVING DINNER

Occurs annually in November where our local community businesses and volunteers come together to feed those who might not have another place to go or have a dinner of their own.  Local restaurants and merchants donate food and resources to help those that need it most.

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING

Occurs annually in November in conjunction with the City of Seal Beach.  Real snow for sledding  and to make a snow man at the Seal Beach Pier and Santa arrives in grand fashion before the official tree is lit
